Japanese art catalogue

As one of only three overseas depository libraries for Japanese art catalogues, the East Asian Collection received 413 new titles of Japanese art catalogues from the National Art Centre, Tokyo in April. This is part of the project established by the Japan Association for Cultural Exchange in 1995, in which the University of Sydney Library participated since 1998. Administration of the project has since been transferred to the new National Art Center, Tokyo in 2005. There will be another batch of a similar number of titles on their way to the library. Our Japanese cataloguer, Lily Hayashi, is busy putting them onto the library online catalogue at the moment. All the titles from the project are searchable in the library's online catalogue by an author search "JAC project". The bibliographic records and holdings will be uploaded to Libraries Australia at a later stage.

Chinese e-book

NU has purchased a further 1,976 Apabi Chinese Ebook titles. They are mainly in the area of Traditional Chinese medicine, Health Science, Media and Communications, etc.
