| The library has purchased a single user licence for the China Academic Journal Subseries F (history/literature/philosophy) in 2007. Most of the thread-bound Chinese language rare books in the East Asian Collection have been converted from the card catalogue to the library's online catalogue. The library is one of the successful applicants for the Korean Film Council's Hub-library support program for Korean Film Studies, and will receive hundreds of books and DVDs from the Korean Film Council. Nancy Li, the East Asian Collection librarian was invited to a Workshop for Overseas Librarians in the National Library of Korea, sponsored by the Korean Foundation on 15th - 19th October.
