StaffingNancy Li started on 25 October 2004 as the East Asian Collection librarian after the retirement of Magdelen Lee. Lily Otsuka won the Japan Foundation/National Diet Library scholarship to undertake a training program for information specialists in Japanese Studies in Japan. Together with other 16 Japanese studies information specialists from around the world, Lily participated an intensive training from November 28 to December 18, 2004 in Japan.CollectionThe East Asian Collection has received 37 Japanese art catalogues of various art exhibitions in Japan in 2004 from Japan Association of Cultural Exchange. The University of Sydney library is the depository library in Australia to receive these collections each year. |
